Love is the lure that could break her curse—or her heart…

Growing up among witches as a rare and powerless male descendant hasn’t been easy for Basil Murray. When he learns his true identity, he’s all too eager to claim his own magic, but the tangle of lies that shaped his past might just kill him before he unlocks the secret to his powers—and the beautiful fae whose life he saves may be at the center of it all

Fae bounty hunter Isa’s days are numbered. The death curse she’s stalled will soon kill her, unless she ends the bloodline of the one who cursed her. And of course that person turns out to be the striking male to whom she now owes a life debt. Even worse, Basil has the nerve to unapologetically fall in love with her—and make her crave what she can never have…

Warning: Includes a hero who is as sweet as he is sexy, and may cause intense yearning and unintentional hugging of your reading device. Maybe even licking.
Quick Thoughts

Hot. Hot. Hot.

Review

I'll admit, at first I felt a little funny reading To Stir a Fae's Passion, because in the previous two books in the series, we'd seen Basil in a big brother role. Reading through the eyes of Merle and Lily, Basil was nothing more than a reliable brother and I had gotten used to feeling that way about him. So starting to see him as the hot male love interest was a tiny bit of an adjustment. But, I quickly got over that ;)

Honestly, Nadine Mutas has become my favorite author with this Love and Magic series. It's just SO FREAKING GOOD. Finally getting to see Basil for who he is, in all his complexity, was riveting. Since book one, Nadine Mutas has had the phenomenal ability of creating a cast of characters that are all equally fleshed out and whose stories intertwine perfectly. Yes, this was Basil's story, but while he was off in Fae, we still got to see what was going on with Merle and Maeve and Lily back home which is so important to me as it kept the story grounded and the both plots moving forward at a great pace.

And, of course, the romance. The hot, sexy, make ya panties soaked romance. As in the previous books, are Basil and Isa shot by Cupid's insta-love arrow? Yeah. But did I give a diddly squat? Heck no. Their feelings for each other still felt organic and real, and there was an underlying tension and urgency that made it all the more explosive. If you're looking for some hot hot fire romance, this series is the way to go in general, but To Stir a Fae's Passion is burning up.

I can't ignore a kick ass heroine when I see one, and Isa is definitely that. She has a dark secret that she can't tell Basil, even though she wants to. She needs him to break a curse on her, and it would mean the end of their love. But she's been through so much in her life and she is the kind of woman that doesn't take anyone's shit, so I honestly just loved her. All of the women in this series are like that, which is also probably why I love the series as a whole.

As always, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you get your booty moving and start reading this series, like, yesterday. I give this book all the stars because 5 just aren't enough.

You can buy To Stir a Fae's Passion as a paperback for $11.99, or $3.99 as a Kindle copy.

About the Author
Polyglot Nadine Mutas has always loved tangling with words, whether in her native tongue German or in any of the other languages she’s acquired over the years. The more challenging, the better, she thought, and thus she studied the languages of South Asia and Japan. She worked at a translation agency for a short while, putting to use her knowledge of English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Hindi.
Before long, though, her lifelong passion for books and words eventually drove her to give voice to those story ideas floating around in her brain (which have kept her up at night and absent-minded at inopportune times). She now writes paranormal romances with wickedly sensual heroes and the fiery heroines who tame them. Her debut novel, Blood, Pain, and Pleasure, has won several awards for excellence in unpublished romance, and she’s furiously working on the next installments in the Tales of Blood and Magic series.
She currently resides in Oregon with her college sweetheart, beloved little demon spawn, and two black cats hellbent on cuddling her to death (Clarification: Both her husband and kid prefer her alive. The cats, she’s not so sure about.).
