PEREGRINE from Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi!
Oh, Perry, wonderful Perry. I don't know what I could possibly say about him because he's so amazing.Under the Never Sky by Veronica RossiSince she'd been on the outside, she'd survived an Aether storm, she'd had a knife held to her throat, and she'd seen men murdered. This was worse.
Exiled from her home, the enclosed city of Reverie, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland - known as The Death Shop - are slim. If the cannibals don't get her, the violent, electrified energy storms will. She's been taught that the very air she breathes can kill her. Then Aria meets an Outsider named Perry. He's wild - a savage - and her only hope of staying alive.
A hunter for his tribe in a merciless landscape, Perry views Aria as sheltered and fragile - everything he would expect from a Dweller. But he needs Aria's help too; she alone holds the key to his redemption. Opposites in nearly every way, Aria and Perry must accept each other to survive. Their unlikely alliance forges a bond that will determine the fate of all who live under the never sky.
I think what interested me most about him was that he wasn't one of those guys that automatically goes goo-goo over the heroine. Hell, he even kind of hated Aria in the beginning. And he is very loyal, he'll do absolutely anything to keep those he loves safe. But once you lose his loyalty and trust, that's it.
Perry is a no-nonsense type of guy. But, he does have a fun side that peeks through, especially when he's with his nephew. I loved seeing those little vulnerable moments.
If you haven't read Under the Never Sky yet, you are SO missing out. Perry wants you to read it! :D
If you have read it, what do you think of Perry? Do you love him as much as I do? Do you? DO YOU?
Perry is a great character! His pov really helped the story in my opinion. I loved his growth. Who would u cast as him in a movie?
